Textured concrete surfaces that have stain or coloring that has become faded and discolored can be restored with the proper treatments.

If you’re wanting to return the beauty and former glory to any concrete, it is possible as long as the surface isn’t cracked, heaving or otherwise damaged. This option is durable and has a high bond strength which means it can be applied with a very thin application and even onto vertical surfaces.

If you want to know what your options are regarding restoring the look of your stamped concrete, give us a call and we’ll be able to provide an estimate for concrete micro topping.

Let Us Quote Your Concrete Restoration

Concrete will last a lifetime, but it needs to be properly sealed to do so. This means applying sealer every few years depending on the concrete’s location.

Areas that receive more sunlight will need more frequent sealing than shaded areas. Areas that get high traffic will need more frequent sealing as well as areas that get more moisture. It’s hard to say how often slabs should be sealed, but the simple answer is to give it the eye test.

If it looks like it needs to be sealed, it’s probably time to do it. We remove all traces of the old sealer before applying new coats so that there isn’t any residue that shows through.

Concrete Overlay, Staining & Coloring Experts

If you really want to add beauty to your driveway, patio or sidewalk, staining and color are the way to go.

When applying micro topping, we can also add stain and color additives that will make your old concrete shine like new. This option will really give new life to an old surface and for a fraction the cost of pouring a new concrete surface.

There are many color options and finding the right one is never hard when your concrete contractor is experienced and has an artistic eye. Stains come in an endless variety of colors and styles that will fit any location.

If you’re having a hard time deciding what to go with, give us a call and we’ll help.

If my concrete surface is fading and peeling, what can you do about it?

The best option in this case might be to resurface the area. This would protect the surface from the imperfections that were allowing spalling or peeling. This can change the thickness of the surface, so it might not always be a good option when near thresholds or swinging doors. Other options are spot patching or total replacement.

How often do I need to apply concrete sealer? Is it permanent?

No concrete sealer is permanent. It is important to apply sealer on a regular basis which is usually every 3 to 5 years in areas that receive a lot of traffic or sunlight and every 5 to 10 years for areas that are shaded and get light use. The best way to tell is the eye test. If it looks like it needs to be sealed, it’s probably time.

How can you restore my faded stamped concrete?

Yes! We can restore faded stains or coloring by applying micro topping. This is a polymer modified cementitious coating designed to be sprayed on in a thin layer. Whatever surface it’s applied to, it keeps the properties of that texture. Textured concrete will still be textured and flatwork will still be flat but with a protective coating. It’s a great way to save money and restore your surfaces.

I’m unhappy with the state of my concrete porch, patio or deck–what can you do about it?

If your concrete surface is still structurally sound, meaning it doesn’t have any heaving or cracking, and you’re mostly dissatisfied with the stain or color fading, we can help. This is another example of when micro topping would be a great solution. It will let you keep the existing surface which will save you money. The micro topping will be like a brand new color stain and sealer that will extend the life and beauty of your surfaces.

How much does concrete restoration cost?

This depends on what needs to be done to the surface to prepare it for whatever options you want to go with. If there is already cracking or heaving, there might not be many options that don’t involve tearing it out and starting fresh, which is getting more expensive due to the rising cost of concrete. If the surface is structurally flawless, and you just want to restore the stain, color and sealing then we would just need to get some measurements from you to provide a free estimate.

Can concrete sealer be tinted?

Yes. Depending on what you are trying to achieve, it is possible to add color tint to your new sealing coat. These colors are either supplied by manufacturers as pretinted, or colors can be mixed on the jobsite. It’s important to know what the results will be, so if possible you always want to test coloring on an inconspicuous area first.

What is your cost for concrete restoration?

This depends on your situation, such as the quality of the concrete and what may be required to bring it back to a pristine state. This always depends on the area’s accessibility, dimensions and what exact method you decide to go with. We will provide a free estimate if you give us a call.
