Magnolia Concrete Slab Experts

When you hire a master craftsman, you won’t have anything to worry about when it comes to your new slab. We know all the industry’s best practice methods when it comes to pouring concrete that will outlast us all.

Your slab will need a proper subbase. To prepare that, we excavate and grade your land to the proper slope required for your building.

Next, we prepare the forms and reinforcements. Depending on your specifications, this will require steel dowels, rebar, fiber reinforcement and wire mesh.

Whether you’re building your family’s dream home or a storage building, we’ve got the foundation taken care of.

We Build Slabs That Last

The most important structural element of any building is the foundation it sits upon. Without the proper preparation and methods, there’s a lot that can go wrong.

We take all the uncertainty out of your project’s most essential phase of construction. Your structure will last for a lifetime when you hire a master cement mason.

If you’re still in the planning stage, it always helps to consult an expert concrete slab installer to help navigate the pitfalls and unexpected problems that plague many ambitious amateurs when it comes to building a permanent structure.

As an experienced slab contractor, we know exactly what is required for a perfect concrete pour.

We know the details like what PSI your concrete must be, what reinforcements are needed, how to build the forms to contain the mass, how to plan for utilities like electrical and plumbing, how to plan for drainage and moisture, how important vapor barriers are, temperature and weather restrains when pouring.

These hundreds of minute details are what add up to a faultless concrete slab. There’s only one chance to pour a perfect slab and we do it right every time.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs)
About Concrete Slabs

Can you install a concrete slab for my new metal building?

Yes. We can build concrete slabs to spec and are able to build custom concrete slabs that suit your application. Whatever you need a slab for, we can do it. Metal buildings, garages, storage sheds, homes, commercial buildings and equipment pads are just some of the projects we pour slabs for. Whether you’re a homeowner or a commercial property owner, we can help.

I need to pour concrete footings, foundation walls and a monolithic slab, can you do that?

We can pour all structural elements of a foundation. This includes the footings, foundation walls and monolithic slab or slab on grade. We know how to properly reinforce each element and how to install anchor points. We can work with your builder or architect if you have them, but usually we work directly with the property owner.

I need a slab or pad for additional parking, can you install it?

Yes. We install concrete driveways and can add extensions or additions to carports. Whether you just need to add a sliver of room to accommodate a wider vehicle or a whole new section to fit an additional row of parking, we can pour it. Depending on your requirement, it would be a great opportunity to add a stamped concrete border to both sides of your driveway. We can install all the connecting patios, porches and sidewalks to make your new driveway addition seamless. We can restore any concrete surfaces that need attention and resealing. If you want your driveway addition to be stamped, we can do that as well.

What is the difference between a pad and a slab?

The two terms are sometimes used interchangeably, but a slab on grade is a structural element that sits on top of foundation footings and supporting foundation walls. A pad might refer to any elevated concrete surface used to support machinery or any object. An easier way to differentiate would be to think of slabs as part of a building’s structure. We can install stamping on any concrete surface.

What PSI should the concrete be for my new slab?

This will depend on your application. Most slabs should be 3000 to 3500 PSI. If you’re installing a lift in a shop, for example, a PSI of 4000 would be called for. These are the things that we sort out during a site evaluation because once that 3000 PSI concrete is poured, nothing will make it 4000 PSI without adding more concrete to the surface.

If I need a concrete base for a garage or storage building, can you pour it?

Of course. We pour concrete foundations for all types of outbuildings. If you already have a metal building purchased or plans for a timber structure in mind, we can build to suit your design. We know how to prepare the area’s slope to control drainage, prepare the subbase and forms, pour and finish any concrete slab.
